Opened in September 2001, the hotel now boasts one of the finest spa and health clubs in Europe. Spread over six floors, One Spa includes a 19-metre ozone friendly swimming pool, aromatic baths, hydrotherapy pool and 13 treatment rooms offering E'SPA holistic therapies. It also includes a rooftop outdoor pool that looks out over the Edinburgh skyline. It is an extraordinary experience. The health club has sauna and steam rooms, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness studio. It should be noted that children up to the age of 17 are only able to use the swimming pool within One Spa between the hours of 3pm and 5pm each day and also between 8.30am and 9.30am on Saturday and Sunday. Only the gym and pool are available at no extra cost to hotel clients.
Exterior: The hotel is modern, with a large conservatory area situated on the side with views over the square.
Lobby: The lobby is dominated by an impressive, sweeping staircase and is tastefully decorated with tartan fabrics.

This hotel has renovated guest rooms available, from Classic Rooms to Suites. Each room comes with a king-size Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, Shine for Sheraton bath amenities, and elegant glass-walled bathrooms, featuring separate walk-in showers and spacious bathtubs. The state-of-the-art Media Hub enables you to connect a range of electronic devicessuch as laptop, gaming console, or MP3 player to our interactive HD television or in-room stereo system.

There is a choice of restaurants. The more informal one looks out onto Festival Square, and with its conservatory it gives a very bright, breezy feel. The more formal restaurant is darker and very elegant, retaining the characteristics of a Scottish baronial mansion. In addition, the hotel now also has an Italian brasserie as part of the new spa complex.

Hotel guests can make use of the award-winning One Spa facilities. Complimentary entry is offered to the state-of-the-art gym, 19-metre ozone swimming pool and aromatic Cleopatra Baths. For a preferential rate of GBP 30 per person, hotel guests can gain access to One Spa's legendary rooftop Hydropool offering amazing views of the city skyline and the Spa's Thermal Suite which has a unique range of heating and cooling experiences to relax the mind and rejuvenate the body. In addition One Spa offers a wide range of holistic spa treatments given by our experienced spa therapists.

From the west: Take the M8 motorway from Glasgow, which joins the A71 to the city centre.
