1852 and renovated in 2007 with original fireplaces, wood
panelling, stained glass windows and spectacular ornate cornices.

Directions, How to get
there
From Edinburgh and Lothians Tourist Information Centre, go west
along Princes Street. Continue along Shandwick Place and go around
the one-way system. Go past Haymarket railway station and keep
walking for about 5 minutes and the hotel is located on the
right-hand side. Catch a number 26, 12 or 31 bus on Princes Street
to the hotel. From Waverley Station follow Princes Street going
west towards the airport/Glasgow/A8 road. After Princes Street the
street name changes to Shandwick Place and you go around a one-way
system, leading onto Haymarket Terrace then onto West Coates. Catch
a number 26 or 31 bus on Princes Street to here. From Edinburgh
Airport, follow A8 road passing Edinburgh Zoo towards city centre.
West Coates is situated between Murrayfield stadium and Haymarket
railway station. The hotel is on the left-hand side of the road
coming in and opposite a church.
