Originally the headquarters of a textile company, this air-conditioned city hotel has 61 rooms and has been thoughtfully renovated to retain powerful features, whilst embracing the iconic art and furniture within. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service, as well as a hotel safe and lift access to the upper floors. The city hotel also has a hairdressing salon, a café, a restaurant and conference facilities. Guests can also take advantage of the room and laundry services.

The entry rooms are anything but basic. All rooms are en suite and feature a shower, bath, bespoke toiletries and hairdryer, as well as a double or king-size bed (the most comfortable Vi-Spring bed guests will ever sleep on), a LCD TV with satellite/cable TV and a DVD player, and Internet access. Other features include secondary glazing, a safe, a hospitality tray, and a tuck box with regional food and drink (fees may apply). The rooms also include tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set, air conditioning and central heating.

The Michael Caines Restaurant and Champagne Bar, located in an atmospheric lower level dining room, serves exciting and innovative European cuisine utilising the best local and regional produce and ingredients from Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and the surrounding area. Guests can select breakfast from a continental breakfast buffet each morning. Dinner can also be enjoyed buffet-style. Moreover, there are à la carte and set menu options on offer at lunch and dinner.
