and white timbered facade, belies the modern elegance of the
interior. The historical city hotel comprises 68 bedrooms and 12
stylish suites, all of which are individually designed and
beautifully furnished with the finest fabrics. The 4-storey hotel
is fully air-conditioned and welcomes its guests into a lobby with
24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency
exchange facilities and a cloakroom. On-site facilities include
lift access, a hairdryer, a bar, 2 award-winning restaurants, and a
variety of stylish meeting and private dining rooms, ranging from
The Eaton Suite - a state-of-the-art executive boardroom - to The
Westminster Suite - a highly flexible space that can cater for 2 to
250 guests. WLAN Internet access and room and laundry services are
provided and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the
nearby car park (charges apply).
Rooms
There are three different categories of rooms available at this
hotel and all are individually and exquisitely decorated to the
highest standard. The Classic rooms have queen-sized beds; Deluxe
and Executive rooms have king-size beds and the majority contain a
two-seater sofa and armchair. Superior King rooms have king-size
beds and a seating area. Most also have an entrance vestibule and a
dressing area. One of the most sumptuous Executive rooms has been
modified to be fully accessible for those with limited mobility.
Facilities include Bose radio alarm clocks/CD players, DVD player,
minibar, a trouser press, safe, bathrobes and slippers, three
telephones, complimentary broadband Internet access, TV with Sky,
JSTV and CNN channels, Molton Brown toiletries and individually
regulated air conditioning and heating. The bathrooms feature a
bathtub/shower and hairdryer.
Restaurant & Food
There are two award-winning restaurants on site, most notably the
Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, previously named Arkle,
which has recently undergone a gentle refurbishment. The restaurant
has retained its Michelin star for the 20th consecutive year and is
one of just 26 restaurants in the UK to have been awarded four AA
Rosettes. Breakfast is served in La Brasserie, which offers a la
carte meals.
Activities & Sport
The hotel has a spa offering traditional and holistic treatments.
It features 5 luxury treatment rooms, as well as a relaxation area,
a steam room, a herb sauna, an ice fountain, foot baths, a themed
shower and a salt grotto. The gym is bijou in size but equipped
with everything that guests need for a full body work-out,
including a rowing machine, exercise bikes, treadmills, free
weights and a work bench.

Directions, How to get
there
Guests have a choice of arriving at the front of the hotel and
having their car valet-parked or arriving at the rear of the hotel
via the multi-storey car park. Conference and banqueting guests
should arrive at the car park on Level 2A. From all directions,
follow signs to Chester, then City Centre. From Manchester Airport:
Join the M56 heading west, follow signs for Chester and North
Wales. Exit at junction 15 and follow the M53 for Chester. Take the
exit for the A56 and Chester, follow signs for City Centre and City
Centre Hotels.
