It takes a little over two hours to get to Lanta, including two ferry rides. The town center of Saladan is within walking distance and is filled with shops, dining, and entertainment venues. The best way to explore the island and its 500-year-old gypsy population is either on a bicycle or on foot. After the swimming and sightseeing, the restaurant is a good place to relax, offering good Thai and western food with a nice garden where you can walk off your delicious meal. All things considered, Lanta Resort is excellently located, well-appointed, and reasonably priced.
