This rustic club resort has 15 luxury bungalows tucked away in a
pretty little cove named Ba Kan Tieng Beach on Lanta Island. Set
within an unspoiled natural bay on the western coast of Ko Lanta,
it offers the perfect haven for a relaxing holiday or long weekend.
Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception
and a 24-hour check-out service, as well as a hotel safe, a
cloakroom and currency exchange. Additional amenities include a TV
lounge and guests can enjoy a drink at the café and bar, and dine
in the restaurant. A laundry service is available and there is a
car park for those arriving by car.
Rooms
The luxury bungalows nestle within one acre of lush landscaped
gardens. The resort features all the elegance of Thai tradition and
culture. Each bungalow offers stunning views of the white crested
waves of the Andaman Sea and, at night, guests can gaze at the
stars from the private balcony or while taking a stroll along the
beach. All bungalows are en suite and feature a shower and
hairdryer, as well as a double or king-size bed, satellite/cable TV
and Internet access. Additional amenities include a safe, a
minibar, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and air
conditioning. The bungalows embody the charm and elegance of
classical Thai interiors, with traditional handicrafts, rich
textiles and delicately carved wooden furnishings. The bungalows
are larger than average, with a spacious and airy feel.
Restaurant & Food
The resort serves mainly Thai dishes, but also international
cuisine including European, Indian and Malayan dishes. Guests can
enjoy the fresh air at the barbeque corner. The drinks menu offers
a variety of imported wines, champagne as well as all popular local
drinks. Some classical Thai performances are shown occasionally and
there is a famous daily fire show. Guests are served a continental
breakfast each morning. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed à la carte
or selected from various menu options.
Activities & Sport
The club resort houses an outdoor swimming pool with children's
swimming area, a sun terrace and parasols. Additional amenities
include a hot tub, a sauna, a steam room and, for a fee, massage
and spa treatments. Guests can also enjoy the underwater paradise
of Lanta's National Marine Park, or visit the world-class dive
sites at the PADI Dive Centre, joining a snorkelling trip.
Alternative activities include trekking through a real tropical
rainforest, riding an elephant or canoeing through the cool
interior of Thailand's mangrove forest. Beach volleyball is also
available and the beach is sandy.
