Wat Gate, the area of Chiang Mai surrounding 137 Pillars House was formerly designated to foreigners by the government. The house occupies a prime address along the Ping River and adjacent to the Wat Gate Khar Rham Temple for which the community is named. Only 15 minutes ride from Chiang Mai International Airport, and 5 minutes to Chiang Mai Railway Station.

The only Small Luxury Hotel in Chiang Mai, in a quiet neighborhood close to Wat Gate but yet walking distance to Night Bazaar and the famous Warorot flower market, and few minutes’ drive to weekend market. Architectural historians and conservationists worked meticulously to reinforce the integrity of the original 1889 structure at 137 Pillars House. Our guests can expect the same nostalgic ambience in our 30 suites, along with the latest modern comforts and conveniences.

Our leading room, Rajah Brooke is one of the largest among the top luxury resort in the area. All our suites come with private oversized balcony, fitted with day bed and bamboo curtain for extra privacy. 30 luxurious suites all come fully equipped with satellite/cable flat screen TV, DVD player with extensive DVD menu, radio, telephone, music system with iPod connectivity, Wi-Fi, mini bar, safe, and espresso coffee machine. The 2 en-suite bathrooms and Victorian bath tub comes with hot/cold bath and shower and hair dryer.
