Timaru is located half-way between Christchurch and Dunedin, it is the gateway to some of the most spectacular scenic and sporting attractions in New Zealand. Within easy driving distance are ski fields, lakes, glaciers, rivers and the Southern Alps. The Grosvenor is an intimate property ideally suited to the independent traveller with their own transport.
Exterior: Affectionately known as the 'Grand Old Lady of the South', the Grosvenor is very much a part of Timaru's history with ornate styling dating back to the 19th Century. This gracious low rise property is situated on a corner block and is very centrally located.

Comfortable, homely guest rooms all feature telephone, in-house video, internet access, tea and coffee facilities, private bathroom and full room service. Most bathrooms feature a shower only.

Pillars Restaurant offers quality dining in a relaxed atmosphere, with seating of up to one hundred people. The extensive menu caters to all tastes including specialties from the Chef. The restaurant provides predominantly New Zealand cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced produce. There are also several bars to enjoy a drink and unwind in a very relaxed atmosphere.
