Perfect for family living, The Maharaj welcomes with informality, caring staff and calming influences, providing a comfortable hideaway with mature gardens and inviting 12 m pool, sun-drenched rooms and tranquil sitting areas.

The villa contains four ensuite bedrooms plus one nanny or child’s room. Each of the bedrooms features glass and wood patio doors, floor-to-ceiling windows shielded by contemporary-style wood blinds and marble floors. All modern comforts are supplied, such as two flat-screen TVs and DVDs, sound system, and shaded, free-form 12 m pool, but there is a refreshing lack of pretentiousness and superfluous adornments. Sunlight-drenched interiors focus on comfort and are furnished in a simple yet tasteful style.

The villa’s chef cooks a wide range of Asian and western dishes, all beautifully presented. He can also accommodate special requests, such as vegetarian dishes, private dinners, barbecues and dietary needs. Suggestion menus are provided, including a kid’s menu, but if alternative options are desired – and for a more personal touch – chef and the kitchen staff are flexible and happy to discuss. Groceries and beverages are charged at cost price. Guests will be requested to provide grocery money in advance, and the staff will do the shopping and keep the receipts for reference.

Advantages include having your own private facilities, such as swimming pool, living areas and garden space – and the freedom to enjoy them whenever you want. The gorgeous 12 x 4m free-form pool contains a shallow kid’s section and is surrounded by a timbered deck with four sun-loungers, as well as rattan table and chairs: perfect for afternoon tea or sundowners.
