Renovated in 2009, this family-friendly beach hotel is a superior
apartment-style resort with 73 fully furnished self-contained units
set amidst tropically landscaped gardens. Facilities on offer to
guests include a lobby area, conference facilities and Internet
access with 3 WLAN access points (charges apply). There is plenty
of parking available (80 spaces) for those arriving by car.
Rooms
The resort offers 1-bedroom apartments, with a separate
living/dining area, kitchen, laundry and bathroom. All apartments
are large and have been designed for the tropics, with opening
doors and windows, individually adjustable air conditioning and
ceiling fans. They feature large balconies, high ceilings, and
tiled floors. The apartments can accommodate up to 4 people with
the 3rd and 4th persons sharing the sofa bed. They are equipped
with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio and
Internet access. The kitchen comes with a fridge, a cooker/oven, a
microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, a washing machine and
an ironing set. A king-size bed is provided as standard.
Restaurant & Food
Meals are available at the beachfront café and restaurant. Guests
can enjoy breakfast overlooking the beach and relax in the evening
with drinks and a beautiful meal on the balcony of the restaurant.
There are also other takeaways and restaurants on hand, catering to
various budgets and tastes.
Activities & Sport
The resort has an open style with extensive tropical gardens
surrounding the open air saltwater pool. The pool area is conducive
to lazing around on one of the sun loungers. There is a gazebo
which houses the free BBQ and there are also tables and chairs for
sitting and reading or enjoying the BBQ. Guests may relax with a
massage (for an additional fee) and Palm Cove Golf Course is just a
20-minute drive away.
Comments
The resort reception is open daily between 7.30 am and 6 pm. Guests
arriving after hours should contact the resort before arrival to
confirm arrangements for collection of their key.
Directions, How to get
there
Guests arriving from the airport should continue until the end of
Airport Drive, turn right at the lights onto Captain Cook Highway
(Sheridan Street), cross the Barron river, go straight on at the
1st roundabout (past Machans beach). Then turn right at the 2nd
roundabout (into Holloways beach), go straight on at the 1st
roundabout onto Oleander Street, stay on Oleander Street through to
the 2nd roundabout, and then continue to the beachfront. The resort
is on the left just before the water.
