This conference and business hotel is situated on Waterloo Place, which is an extension of Princes Street, Edinburgh's famous shopping street. All of Edinburgh's major tourist attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace, are within walking distance of the accommodation. The central train station is only 2 minutes away and a public bus stop is located just outside the hotel. This family-friendly city hotel is set in a building which originally played home to Edinburgh's first large-scale hotel, opened in 1819. After years of being utilised for different purposes, the building was recently returned to its former glory, with many original fireplaces and pillars still in place.
