This apartment is housed in a city palace, built in the 19th century. It recently underwent refurbishment (2009) which, whilst keeping the historic value of the property, provided it with all the innovation and comfort needed to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible. The establishment is named after the Marques of Portago, one of the best racers in Spanish Formula 1. The modern-style interiors are by the famous designer Tomas Alia. Portago Suites comprises a total of 20 rooms including 4 suites and 6 junior suites. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a currency exchange facility, lift access and a disco. There is a breakfast room and it also has two different common areas: a chill out and lounge area where guests can enjoy a good book, relax, surf on the Internet, or take a refreshing drink. Guests may also take advantage of the WLAN Internet access, babysitting service (on request) and laundry service (the latter for an additional fee).

Each suite comes with 1 or 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, a lounge and a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer. They offer a king-size or double bed and are equipped with a direct dial telephone, an alarm clock, a TV, Internet access and a safe. Furthermore, an ironing set, individually regulated air conditioning and centrally regulated heating are provided in all accommodation as standard and all suites feature either a balcony or a terrace.

Guests may select their breakfast from a buffet.

Golf enthusiasts can play a round at the nearby Sierra Elvira course, which is just a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

Guests arriving by car should take the A44 and exit for Recogidas, City Centre then drive along Recogidas Street (access only allowed for hotel residents and public transport). Go straight on and then turn right (by the post office) and enter Calle Ganivet. At the end of the street is Calle San Matias, where the hotel is located.
