Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg the
Westcliff makes guests feel like they are staying in a luxury
Tuscan estate.
Exterior: Unique in design the Westcliff is formed by a series of
pink villas cascading down through a landscape garden area
surrounded by greenery, fountains & cobbled pathways. As car space
is limited there is a shuttle bus service which tours around the
area eighteen hours a day which serves as a taxi service for
clients to bring them to wherever they need to go within the
grounds. Alternatively golf buggies can be used by clients
directly. There is also a complimentary shuttle bus service to the
shopping districts of sandton, hyde park and rosebank.
Lobby: The lobby is small, bright and open plan with white marble
flooring and an African theme throughout with local flora in
traditional African pot plants, zebra fur seating and spears on the
walls as decor.
Rooms
The air-conditioned rooms come with a marble bathroom with
hairdryer, 2 direct dial telephones, a desk, satellite/ cable TV
with a VCR, a radio, high speed Internet access, a minibar, a
king-size bed and a hire safe. Most rooms have spectacular views
and private balconies.
Restaurant & Food
Daily breakfast buffet, a la carte or in room dining. Lunch and
dinner are daily available as a la carte selection. Morning and
afternoon tea buffet. Sunday brunch.
Activities & Sport
There is a swimming pool in the grounds, as well as sun loungers
and parasols. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, a gym,
and spa and massage treatments on offer. Sports enthusiasts may
play tennis, go road- and mountain- biking or play golf on the golf
course roughly 2 km away.
Directions, How to get
there
From Johannesburg International Airport follow the R24 (N3) to
Johannesburg (Jhb). Highway splits into three. Keep to the left and
follow the N3 N12 (N3) Jhb sign. Pass Van Buuren offramp. Follow M2
to Johannesburg. Highway splits again into M1 Sandton/Pretoria, M1
Bloemfontein and M2 Roodepoort - follow M1 Sandton/Pretoria. Pass
Smit Street offramp and Empire Road offramp - keep left. Take Jan
Smuts Avenue offramp on left. Follow Jan Smuts Avenue until you see
Westcliff Drive on your left. Turn into Westcliff Drive. Then turn
1st left into Woodview Drive. Proceed approximately 500 metres and
turn right into the main entrance of the hotel.
