This is a boutique, all-inclusive family friendly Resort. At the
Franklyn D. Resort & Spa, thanks to the friendly, caring attention
of your family's own Vacation Nanny, you can choose to relax while
your kids have free reign of this cozy resort. It's your 3 in 1
vacation. A fun and educational adventure for kids, an intimate
escape for parents and a great setting to spend time together as a
family. Everything is included: a variety of Jamaican, Italian and
Continental cuisine, WiFi property wide, activities galore,
watersports including terrific SCUBA, complete kids, preteens and
teens programs, native shows, great spa facilities. The staff to
guest ratio is 1:1 at this property. NOTE: Premium drinks,
specialty restaurants, motorized water sports, Spa and/or Golf
(where available) may be at an additional charge.
Exterior: The rooms are housed in eight low-rise buildings of
distinct Tuscan-style architecture, surrounded by gardens bordered
by a white sand beach and the Caribbean Sea to the North.
Lobby: Small and intimate with cozy chairs, concierge, welcome
drinks.
Rooms
The spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites are nestled amongst lush
flower gardens. They feature private bedrooms with king-size beds,
separate living and dining areas and kitchens with a refrigerator,
cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The en
suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower and bathtub, and further
amenities include a hairdryer, ironing set, direct dial telephone,
cable TV, DVD player, IPOD dock, radio and safe. WLAN Internet
access is provided free of charge and all suites feature
individually regulated air conditioning and a private balcony or
terrace.
Restaurant & Food
Vacationers get a choice of four restaurants - all by the ocean.
The newest restaurant serves up authentic Jamaican cuisine nightly
- to adults only. The Verandah is open for breakfast, lunch, and
dinner. The popular Sea Cotton Tree Grill serves spicy jerk pork
and jerk chicken, hamburgers, fries, hot dogs and specialty
sandwiches all day. The adults-only Pier restaurant offers great
Italian cuisine.
Activities & Sport
The resort features 3 swimming pools, one with a 30-metre-long
waterslide. Kids will appreciate the children's swimming area and
there is also a pre-teen's and teen's centre with Xbox 360,
Nintendo WII and computers. The poolside snack bar serves light
meals by the water's edge, where guests will also find sun loungers
and parasols. Aqua fit and aerobics classes are offered and there
is a gym for those who prefer to shape their own work-out. The hot
tub is the perfect place to unwind and for an additional fee,
guests can enjoy a relaxing massage or spa treatment. Water sports
and activities on offer include sailing, snorkelling, kayaking,
glass bottom boat rides and PADI Scuba diving courses, available on
site (fees apply). Furthermore, guests can play tennis, basketball,
beach volleyball, table tennis, pool/snooker and darts. Bicycles
can also be hired. Entertainment programmes are on offer for both
children and adults and golf fans should head to the nearest
course, a 5-minute drive from the resort (fees apply to the
latter).
