This hotel is one of Britain's top spa destinations and is Wales'
highest rated country house hotel. Set in 200 acres of private
parkland, this distinguished 17th century hall, built in 1620 and
renovated in 2008, enjoys spectacular views. Furnished in a country
house style with antiques, fine paintings and collectables,
accommodation is found both in the hall and in the sixteen charming
Welsh stone cottages nestling in the grounds. As well as the 31
guestrooms, the historical hotel houses a lobby, hotel safe and a
cloakroom, plus a café and restaurant. Room and laundry services
are offered and there is a car park for guests with cars.
Rooms
Beautifully decorated in a country-house style with antiques and
fine prints, there are 15 bedrooms including 4 principal suites in
the main hall and 16 delightful cottages nestling in the grounds,
offering more privacy and some with their own garden. The en suite
rooms come with a shower, bath, hairdryer and double or king-size
bed. A direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio and
Internet access are also available for guests' use. The rooms also
contain a safe and central heating.
Restaurant & Food
The hotel has an award-winning fine dining restaurant in the hall
and casual informal dining in the 1620 restaurant set in a
converted stable block, and is renowned for its outstanding
hospitality. A continental or cooked breakfast is served in the
dining room in the main hall or by room service. Lunch, afternoon
tea and dinner are served in the main hall and in the 1620
restaurant. Both set menu and à la carte lunch and dinner options
are offered. Guests can enjoy drinks and light meals served in the
Club Room and may wander freely through the award-winning
gardens.
Activities & Sport
The hotel's award-winning spa offers a health and beauty
environment for residents, spa members and day guests. Tastefully
converted from a stone-built farmhouse, it has a magnificent 50 ft
indoor, heated swimming pool, spa bath and both steam and sauna
rooms. Guests can also take a break at the poolside snack bar,
while sun loungers and parasols are provided by the pool. The 5
treatment rooms have a natural serenity conducive to total
relaxation, where highly trained staff offer made-to-measure beauty
care from the Anne Sémonin and Espa brands. Massage and spa
treatments are also available. The gym has equipment suitable for
all levels of fitness, including a Power Plate. Guests are also
welcome to relax and enjoy light refreshment in the comfortable
club room or on the sun terrace. Children aged between 8 and 16
years may use the spa swimming pool at specified times, when
accompanied by an adult. Guests will find a golf course around 6 km
from the hotel in nearby Conwy.

Directions, How to get
there
If coming by car, guests should take the A55 to its intersection
with the A470, then follow the A470 towards Llandudno. The hotel is
located two miles down the road, on the right.
