Located in the colorful area of Keong Siak Street and on the fringe of Chinatown, the buildings consist of pre-war shop houses (named after its build date, 1929). A short walk to the famous Smith street and Pagoda Street where one could find many choices of local delights in the evenings. It is 2 km to city center, and 25 km to the nearest airport which is Changi International Airport. In addition, it boasts an easy access to the public transport such as 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station which is Outram MRT Station and 5 minute to bus stop and an interesting site such as Suntec Convention Center about 4 km.

Considered as a designer boutique hotel, Hotel 1929 boasts a deck with Jacuzzi in the back. It features a unique building from a past era in Singapore that is becoming all too rare these days at a very reasonable price. Painted white, it does not hint of the modern interior. The small lobby is furnished with little seating area and with classic pieces of European designer chairs (as in the rooms) and designer lighting. In addition, for those who want to savor tasty food, there is Ember Restaurant in the left of hotel. To ensure guests' satisfaction, the hotel is furnishes with an array of utmost amenities and services such as business center, public internet, money exchange facility, car park, car rental and laundry service.

Rooms
The hotel boasts uniquely designed rooms with a perfect blend of voguish interior designs and vintage furnishings.
