Tucked away on the north eastern part of Libaran, Walai Penyu Libaran Resort is an accommodation that combines serene island retreat and a unique experience at the site of turtle conservation hatchery. Visitors to Walai Penyu resort will be able to learn the important of turtles to our ecosystem and experience first-hand the turtle conservation work done on this island. Your trip will also include a walk about within the village and see how the islanders of Libaran live.

The hotel offers a combination of leisure and turtle conservation packages (see Activities & Sport). Rooms are separated within camping tents, with separate kitchen and bathroom area. Self-laundry facilities are also provided.

The resort provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner and barbecue facilities on request.

The main turtle nesting season is yearly during June to September, an extra hand around the area is appreciated. Guests will be provided with a proper orientation to ensure for a truly valuable experience. At the afternoon you will be guided about the turtle conservation program and short day trip around the island, before you start to handle and release baby turtles in the evening. Guests can also try to snorkel or sunbathing over the beach during the morning and afternoon. Please note that the conservation program requires entry fee and transportation boat fee.
