Albergo Colonne, a name that evokes memories. A story that began at the end of the nineteenth century by Pietro Bianchi, the first to decide to undertake this adventure at the foot of Sacromonte of Varese. Here is the site chosen for the columns: a house in the seventeenth century, a red marble entrance hall, four massive columns from the Lazaretto of Milan.

A lake-view terrace where you can enjoy a quick lunch, sip a cup of tea and taste the delicious homemade pasta and traditional ice cream.

The Sacromonte of Varese is part of the group of nine Sacred Mountains foothills of the Alps of Piedmont and Lombardy in 2003 included in UNESCO's World Heritage Site. Place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages, offers a picturesque walk along a cobbled path about two miles during which you can admire the fourteen chapels dedicated to the Mysteries of the Rosary, to finally reach the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Monte, a place rich in history and surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape.
