Novotel Al Dana is an international class resort that combines
traditionally-elegant Arabic architecture with a modern touch. This
deluxe resort is located in the heart of the Kingdom's diplomatic
and business area, stands along the Sheikh Hamad Causeway,close to
the National Museum, only 5 minutes away from the airport, and 20
minutes from the road link to Saudi Arabia.
Exterior: Built in traditional Bahraini style architecture, this
property consists of numerous brown castle like buildings - the
centre piece being the large swimming pool, pool bar, leisure
facilities and private beach. As this is all low rise there is a
spacious feel to the resort.
Lobby: The small lobby is located up a few steps at the entrance to
the resort. There is also a small concierge. Buggies are on hand to
drive guests to their rooms.
Rooms
Each of the hotel's rooms and suites is elegantly appointed to
create spacious yet cosy confines, with equally dramatic views,
either of the beachfront and the sparkling waters of Arabian gulf
or of the inviting poolside and lush courtyard. The rooms come with
a private en suite bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer
as well as a direct dial telephone, a satellite/ cable TV, a radio
and Internet access. There is also a mini bar, tea and coffee
making facilities and an ironing set. A double or king-size bed,
centrally regulated air conditioning and heating, a safe and either
a balcony or terrace are also provided as standard.
Restaurant & Food
Zytoun is a Mediterranean-inspired all-day dining restaurant,
starting the day with an extravagant buffet breakfast, then lunch
and dinner buffets. Al Yacout is a Moroccan fine dining restaurant
offering authentic fragrant tasty Moroccan cuisine, an exclusive
elegant atmosphere, beach views and live entertainment. La Perle,
which is probably Bahrain's foremost fine-dining restaurant, is
perched over the sea and overlooking the beachfront, providing
guests with culinary masterpieces from Neptune's bounty,
orchestrated by the hotel's executive chef with typical French
flair. Le Bellevue features a snazzy, relaxed elegance, where cosy
surroundings make for the perfect setting as day slides into
night.
Activities & Sport
The hotel features indoor and outdoor pools including a free-form
swimming pool and a children's pool and there is a gym overlooking
the private beach with a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment,
hot tubs and steam and dry saunas. The fully-equipped gymnasium
comes complete with cardio-vascular equipment and the latest
natural strength exercise enhancement equipment, and there are 3
studios featuring the RIPP TM resistance performance programme,
team indoor rowing, aerobics and team indoor cycling. Guests may
also relax in the solarium, enjoy a massage, go banana boating,
jet-skiing, motor boating and windsurfing or join in an aerobics
session. The hotel also offers an entertainment programme.
